SSC MTS 2025 Notification, Apply, Vacancies, Eligibility etc. Details Released

Staff Selection Commission has released SSC MTS and Havaldar Notification 2025 on 26 June 2025. There are 1075 posts of Havaldar and thousands of Multitasking Staff (MTS) posts that are to be declared. Eligible candidates can check quick details of notification from here and submit their online forms from 26 June to 24 July 2025. Official notification is available on the SSC portal at ssc.gov.in.

Important Dates of SSC MTS 2025

  • Notification release date: 26 June 2025

  • Application form submit starts: 26 June 2025

  • Last date of fee payment: 25 July 2025

  • Correction dates: 29 July to 31 July 2025

  • Tier 1 CBT exam: 20 September to 24 October 2025

Eligibility Criteria of SSC MTS 2025

  • Educational Qualification: 10th pass from a recognised board

  • Age Limit:

    • 18 to 25 years for MTS

    • 18 to 27 years for Havaldar

  • Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, as per rules

Selection Process

  • Tier 1 CBT (100 questions, 200 marks)

  • PET/PST for Havaldar posts

  • Document verification

SSC MTS 2025 Exam Pattern for Tier 1

Session 1:
  • Reasoning ability and problem solving: 20 questions, 60 marks

  • Numerical and mathematical ability: 20 questions, 60 marks

Session 2:
  • General Awareness: 25 questions, 75 marks

  • English Language and comprehension: 25 questions, 75 marks

  • Negative marking: 0.50 per wrong answer

This computer based test (CBT) will be conducted on the same day in two mandatory successive sessions. There will be time of 45 minutes (60 for scribes) for each session. After 1st 45 minutes, session 1 window will be closed and session 2 start.

Physical Standards for Havaldar

  • Male: Height 157.5 cm, Chest 81 cm with full expansion (minimum expansion 5 cms)

  • Female: Height 152 cm, weight 48 kg

  • Height is relaxation of 5 cms for Male and 2.5 cms for Female in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and members of Schedule Tribes.

  • Walking: Male 1600 meters in 15 minutes, Female 1 km in 20 minutes.

There are no physical standards required for MTS posts. Candidate need to be 10th pass for it.

SSC MTS Application Process

  1. Go and register on ssc.gov.in by clicking on apply and exam link.

  2. Fill the application form for SSC MTS 2025 with your correct personal details like name, address, qualification etc..

  3. Upload your photograph and signature in required size and format.

  4. Pay fee as per your category.

  5. Submit form and take printout.

Application fee:

Candidates have to pay fee of Rs. 100, exempted for women, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM during online application submission. Modes allowed are netbanking, debit / credit card and upi.

SSC MTS 2025 Pay Scale and Salary After Selection

Pay Scale & Basic pay: Those who got selection on Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) will be put under 7th CPC Pay Level 1 with starting basic pay Rs. 18000 per month. These posts are of Group C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

Starting Salary: Selected candidates under SSC MTS 2025 will receive salaries under Pay Level 1 of 7th CPC with a starting basic pay of Rs. 18000 plus DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances as per Central government rules. In-hand salary per month generally ranges from Rs. 29000 to 35000 depending on posting city and current allowances.

Preparation Notes

To increase chances of qualifying SSC MTS exam, candidates should prepare according to the syllabus for Tier 1. Also they should practice previous year question papers and mock tests to improve speed and accuracy. Those who are applying for Havaldar post should start physical test preparation early for PET/PST.
