7th CPC Pay Matrix: Levels 1–5 (Grade Pay ₹1800 to 2800) Salary, Increments

Here you can check 7th CPC Pay Matrix – Levels 1 to 5 (Grade Pay ₹1800 to ₹2800) with their salary and increments. Under 7th Central Pay Commission, Pay Band 1 of the 6th CPC was replaced by 5 Levels (1–5) with corresponding grade pays of ₹1800, ₹1900, ₹2000, ₹2400, and ₹2800 respectively. Each pay level consist of increments that are done annually and the amount is ~3% of basic pay.

Whenever a new candidate joins a department under Central government, they are given salary as per starting basic pay of their post / position. Here you will find salary details of level 1-5 of 7th Pay matrix Pay Band 1 with their full tables of increment and other important information. 

1. 7th CPC Level 1 (₹18000–₹56900) Grade Pay 1800

  • Equivalent 6th CPC Pay Scale: 5200-20200 Grade Pay 1800

  • Entry-level basic pay: ₹18000

  • Maximum at stage 40: ₹56900

  • Common posts: Group-D staff i.e. MTS, Peon, Sweeper, Mali, Jamadar, Waterman etc.

The annual increment start increasing by ₹500 reaching 600, 700, 800 to maximum 1700 on 40th increment. The last basic pay of these level 1 posts is ₹56900. For an employee to get their 40th increment, He/ She has be on the post from age 20 years as 60 years age is the age of retirement of Central Government jobs and be on the post for these many years. However candidate is given promotion after some years depending on department and service of candidate and that promote their pay level.
