Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released official notification for Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025 on 23 June 2025. This is an exciting opportunities for 12th-pass candidates across India who want to get a Central Government Job and secure their future. There are a total of  3131 Group C posts that has been notified including LDC/JSA, DEO, PA/SA. Eligible candidates who want to get on these permanent posts, can submit their online application forms starting from 23 June 2025 up to last date 18 July 2025. 

About SSC CHSL 2025 Exam:

SSC 12th Level CHSL is conducted once every year. It is held to fill vacancies in for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of Indian Government and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc.. It attracts 15–30 lakh applicants annually for usually 3000–5000 vacancies. So competition is quite high, requiring focused preparation in reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and accuracy in typing from those who want selection.

Eligibility Criteria of SSC CHSL 2025

  • Educational Qualification: Candidate should be 10+2 pass from a recognized board.

  • Age limit: 18-27 years (as on 1 January 2026)

    • Candidates born on or between 2 Jan 1999 and 1 Jan 2008 can apply.

    • Age relaxations: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, additional relief for PWD/Ex-Servicemen categories.


SSC CHSL Selection Process

CHSL exam has three stages:
Tier-I (Computer-Based Test)
It will be a objective type (MCQ) exam with 100 questions, 200 marks, 60 minutes. The sections will be: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension.

Tier-II (Computer-Based Test):
It will consist of an objective type paper and a skill/typing test. The objective test will include questions to check candidate's mathematics, reasoning, English, Computer knowledge.

Skill Test / Typing Test:
  • Required for DEO, LDC/JSA, PA/SA posts.
  • Typing speed: 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi).
  • Data Entry Speed: 8000 key depressions per hour for DEO posts.

How to Apply Online for SSC CHSL 2025 Notification

  1. Visit ssc.gov.in >> Click on “Apply”  and select Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination.,2025 and again apply.

  2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) with your personal details if you are applying for first time. Get your registration number and password generated by SSC website.

  3. Log in, fill details, upload ID, photo & signature

  4. Pay the ₹100 fee (waived for SC/ST/PwBD/All Females/ESM)

  5. Submit & download your application confirmation

  6. Use the correction window (23-24 July) if you need to make some correction in application.


Keep your 10th/12th mark sheets, Aadhaar, photo & signatures ready in JPG/PDF (50-200 KB) as these are needed to be uploaded in online form.
