Eligibility Criteria of SBI Clerk Notification 2025
Age Limit (as on 01.04.2025)
Age should be between 20-28 years. Candidates must have been born between 02.04.1997 and 01.04.2005 (both dates inclusive).
Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for reserved categories as per rules.
Some relaxations are OBC 3 years, SC/ ST 5 years, PwD (Gen/ EWS 10 years, OBC 13 years, SC/ ST 15 years). More details in notification.
Educational Qualification (as on 31.12.2025) of SBI Jr. Associate / Clerk Recruitment 2025
Candidate should have done graduation / bachelor's degree in any discipline / stream from a recognized university or have any equivalent qualification as recognized by the Central Government. Also final year/semester students can apply provisionally but must produce proof of graduation by 31.12.2025. Certain ex-servicemen with specific certificates are also eligible.
Selection Procedure of SBI Clerk 2025 Notification
Candidate will have to go through 3 stages. Pre and Mains exams will be online and objective type with Negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. Then there will be a test of specified opted local language.
1. Preliminary Examination
Total Marks: 200
Duration: 1 hour
Sections: English Language (30 marks), Numerical Ability (35 marks), Reasoning Ability (35 marks)
2. Main Examination
Total Marks: 200
Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
Sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude
3. Local Language Proficiency Test
Candidates who have not studied the local language in Class 10 or 12 will need to qualify in this test.
Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Main Examination only.
SBI Clerk Pay Scale and Salary
Pay Scale: Rs. 24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480
Starting Basic Pay: Rs. 26730 (including two advance increments for graduates)
Total Starting Salary / Emoluments: It will be approximately Rs. 46000 per month (in metro cities like Mumbai), inclusive of DA and other allowances.
Probation Period
Newly appointed Junior Associates will be under probation for a minimum 6 months. Successful completion of e-lessons during probation is mandatory for confirmation.
