Uttar Pradesh Pay Matrix Table Level 1-17 with Post-wise Pay Scales

If you are preparing for UPSSSC, UPPSC, UP Police, or any other Uttar Pradesh government job, understanding UP pay matrix is essential. It is the official structure used for determining salaries of state government employees in UP. It replaces the earlier pay band and grade pay system, thereby bringing more transparency and uniformity in salary calculations.

Understanding this Pay matrix of Uttar Pradesh helps candidates know what to expect and plan better for their government career in the state. From entry-level clerks to senior IAS officers, every post fits into a specific pay level with a well-defined starting salary. The system was implemented to simplify salary structure and to allow a standard method of salary progression across departments and posts.

What is Uttar Pradesh Pay Matrix Table?

The table of UP Pay Matrix specifies pay levels and the starting basic pay for each level. Every post in the state government service is associated with a particular pay level that shows basic pay (first and last) of that post. This basic pay is used to calculate various allowances like DA, HRA, and others that are all used to find total salary.
